Our Mission and Vision
The mission of the Ruck & Roll Foundation is to ease the financial burden cancer places on teachers and their families. By providing direct financial support and rallying community partnerships, we help ensure educators never have to carry their fight alone. We aim to do this through events in our community and partnering with those around us for support.

My name is Aeisha Teaste, I am a Breast cancer survivor and Thriver. I received my diagnosis in December of 2024. From that day my life has forever changed. My treatment consisted of chemotherapy, a lumpectomy, radiation and continued immunotherapy. As I continue to receive treatment, I am so grateful to the Ruck and Roll foundation, who has so graciously awarded me a grant for support. This support will allow me to continue to pay my bills as well as have life necessities while going through treatment. Thank you for your support and all you do for those THRIVING and SURVIVING through breast cancer.

How we got our start....
In February 2023, life changed in an instant when one of our own, a beloved teacher in the Fort Mill School District named Michelle, was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Angiosarcoma. The journey that followed-surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, transfusions, and countless treatments, brought not only physical and emotional challenges, but also the overwhelming financial strain that comes with fighting cancer.
Walking alongside her through this battle, we saw firsthand the heavy weight that cancer places on teachers who give so much of themselves to their students and classrooms. In August 2026, Michelle had to make the difficult decision to step away from the classroom to focus on battling stage 4 cancer. The hardest part wasn’t only the treatments, but the ache of being away from her school family and students, and the constant worry about finances. Yet, the outpouring of love and support from the school community, family, and friends became the inspiration behind this foundation.
That is where Ruck & Roll was born. Together, as educators and friends, we felt called to take that inspiration and create something lasting. On March 27, 2026, Michelle peacefully passed away. While our hearts are broken, her legacy and the fierce love she had for her community live on in everything we do.
We refuse to let Michelle's fight end. Today, teachers in our district are facing these same challenges-juggling medical bills, the worry of missed work, and the deep emotional toll of illness. In Michelle’s honor, we will continue to stand beside them.
Our mission remains simple: to come alongside teachers, help carry the load by easing financial strain, and provide encouragement so no teacher ever feels they are walking this road alone. What began with one teacher’s journey has grown into a shared movement of compassion and support.
